Google Earth EXercise (GEEX)
A Google Earth EXercise or GEEX is a geospatial training
tool. Think of it as a digital sand table. A GEEX can be as simple or
complex as your imagination and time can make it. Please see the GEEX
Tips page for shared tips and tricks on running a GEEX. The following files should be listed in groups by incident. The .kmz
file is the Google Earth EXercise. It can be viewed by installing
Google Earth, downloading the file and then double clicking on the
file. Supporting documentation used to build or facilitate the GEEX
can also be found here. We invite you
to look at some of our examples and submit your own. All submissions
will be looked at for content before posting, so please submit a .doc
with the following information or include it in your GEEX: - Author of the GEEX
- Author's current position title
- Purpose of the GEEX (what are you training for)
- Credit to anyone who helped you compile the GEEX
- Contact information (email address will be posted)
- A brief write up or instruction sheet on how you have run the GEEX training
Submissions without the above information will not be posted. As
always, trust the source of your downloads, if you didn't get it here,
it has not been looked at by the GETA Group.
